The City of Watkinsville is seeking a Downtown Development Director to lead and manage the city’s Downtown Development program. This position is responsible for implementing the vision and strategic direction of the Downtown Development Authority Board, supporting downtown business retention and recruitment, coordinating marketing and promotional efforts, managing the DDA budget, assisting with historic preservation and tourism initiatives, and identifying grants, sponsorships, and funding opportunities. The Director will work closely with city leadership, the DDA Board, business and property owners, community partners, volunteers, and the public to advance downtown growth, strengthen partnerships, and support projects and programs that enhance Watkinsville’s downtown district.
