This position is responsible for directing the operations of the city’s Main Street Program. The major duties for this position include to develop strategies for preservation-based economic development in collaboration with the Central Valdosta Development Authority. Develop and conduct public awareness and educational programs designed to create awareness of the downtown district and of program goals and objectives. Also, develops and implements a work plan based on program goals and objectives.
